A couple of weeks ago I made a cake for the graduation party we had after fair parking. After frosting the cake I had like half a can of frosting leftover so I just put the lid on and stuck it in the fridge. Over the following days the frosting disappeared. Though I do admit to taking part in snitching the frosting, I did not have as much as Dale did. My Dad had some too. Anyway, my father was finishing up what very little was left when we decided to pull a prank on Dale. We smeared the bottom of the can (with an equal amount to the frosting that would have been there) with Crisco®!!!!! A couple of days later we discovered the EMPTY can in the trash. Today my mother and I finally remembered to ask him about it. He said that he "thought that the frosting had gone bad" and that "it was really gnarly." LOL. What fun my family thinks of!
………………………………….
Tonight my mom and I will probably go watch Dale play volleyball at Big League of Dreams. He is on a team with Mike, Michael, Luke, David, Amelacar (Luke's friend from South America), and once and a while Karl and CJ.

AAHHHHHHHH!
Hi y'all! I haven't posted in a while. I got my ID, it looks cool.
Turtle Bay has been going well, yesterday (Tuesday) I subed for a kid named Hayden. I usually work on Thursdays. It was fun; I got to meet some new volunteers and a different shift leader/"mentor" who was really nice. He kept calling us his "Amigoes" and then he would add "Amiga" (I was the only girl). It was funny. I also talked a lot to the head tech person in the Butterfly House. His name is Thom. We talked about school and art. He calls himself a baby artist. Which brings me to:
I entered 5 art pieces and my "Taming of the Shrew" costume (the awesome 3 layered skirt + white shirt + brown vest from my last play) into the fair. I won first place on a watercolor of a sunset/palm tree/mountains. Second place on a colored pencil of 4 strawberries, kind of techno/different colors. Second place also on a colored pastel of Claire Pella's face (for all of you who remember Claire, she came to youth group for a while). Third place on my costume! And participation ribbons on both another watercolor and pastel. :-(
I went to GREAT AMERICA this last weekend with most all of my pals and had a BLAST!
But I must go so I will write more about my trip later.

TB-MTV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today was my first day of training to be a Summer Museum Teen Volunteer @ Turtle Bay Exploration Park! (TB-MTV) We had a tour of the whole thing: the museum, Paul Bunyon's Forest Camp, the mill house, the butterfly house, and we crossed the Sundial Bridge to eat lunch in the new Arboretum. One of the best parts was getting to go into all of the STAFF ONLY rooms. :-)
Tomorrow we will be trained in six stations (the little temporary booths of fun stuff to learn from). Then my first real shift is on Thursday the 16th from 10am to 1pm. Each hour I will be at a different station. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time! The people in charge are really nice though so I shouldn't have any problems. My Shift Leader is really nice, his name is Wyatt, he has been volunteering for 4 years, and he's about two heads shorter than I am! He's probably only 13 or 14, I don't know. He certainly knows a lot about the stuff in the museums though! And another Shift Leader is Jessica! At least there is someone I know! (Jessica was in my play; she was Miss Gribsby and Moulton the gardener.) She is really sweet and nice. I was so thrilled to see her! I also saw Hannah's friend Callie, but I don't know her very well.
I met some new people too! Briannah and Katarina are sisters who are 14 and 13, home schooled, and they live in Bella Vista. They are very nice and both VERY talkative!:-) I also met another girl named Katy; she is 13 and goes to Shasta High. Her mom is making her volunteer, but I hope she enjoys it anyway. Jessica, Briannah, Katarina, Katy, and I had a grand time eating lunch together! It was lots of fun!
We also saw the new frog exhibit (A Chorus of Colors). It was sooooo awesome. Frogs are so cool! There were the tiniest little yellow frogs to the huge fat greeny brown frogs. And each container where they were kept had their own little natural habitat going. It was fantastic. I highly suggest that you go see it! Especially on any Thursday from 10am to 1pm. And If I am not at the museum, run around and try to find me somewhere else!!! I will be wearing a green Turtle Bay Volunteer shirt. :-) [I already saw the Williams today. (Tyler, Lindsay, Natalie and Mrs. Williams)]

Questionnaire
Hello hello. Last evening at Lynda's was fun. It was nice to just hang with friends that I haven't hung with for a long time!
Any way I have a question for you ---
What were your parents going to name you before they decided on your name (the
name you have now)?
Are you glad that they changed their minds? Why or why not? :-)

Welcome
Hello hello fellow human beings. My mother told me that I should make my own blog. So here I am. Today I am going to Lynda's house to swim. Fun Fun. Becuase nothing else exciting is happening today I will share about my eventfull week.
SUNDAY: I skipped church [I'm sorrrry Lord!:-)] to do a runthrough of my play, The Importance of Being Earnest. We did 2 performances. They went well, but our audiance consisted of 12 people each time, oh well. Afterwards our acting group went and hung out at Red Robins. Fun. Earlier in the afternoon my father proceded to break his bed room window. By accedent! The window is double paned (so there is a sheet of glass, an inch of spaceand another sheet of glass.) and there was moisture in between the panes, so he drilled the tiniest hole to let the moisture dry and then he was goingto seal it up agian. Well, he hadn't quite gotten all the way through and he stepped back to think and servey his work when *WOOOOSHHHH* the first pane shattered into a million little pieces and fell to the floor! Project number 1,549. :-)
MONDAY: We did our third (and last) performance of the play. It went the best, I think, except Brandon Gray cracked up in one scene with me becease he broke his shoe. I could have killed that boy!!!! After cleaning up, I went home and relaxed.
TUESDAY: I went to Hannah's 8th grade graduation with Anna. GO HANNAH! That was fun. Then we went to Hannah's house for dessert and took a ride through their "neiborhood" in the back of Jeff's truck.
WEDNESDAY: Dale started his training at Starbucks! I went to Anna's house early in the morning becuase my mom had jury duty and I would have been home alone. My mom got out of jury duty, HALLELUJAH!! She picked me up and we went grocery shopping. We went to the new WinCo, It is really nice.
THURSDAY: I went to the DMV to get my picture taken for an ID. My mom wanted to get me one because whenever we go to the bank to cash a check or something they always want some form of ID and I don't have one. At least not until another 2-3 weeks!
So, that is my week. Please comment on what you thought of my play, if you saw it that is! I hope you have a good day. ~ Silent J (Jamie)
